Fiberroad offers high channel isolation, very low insertion loss (1.7 dB including connectors) CWDM multiplexers/demultiplexers (MUX/DMUX). Low insertion loss becomes critical at 10 Gb/s bitrates or long distances where margins in power budgets are small. Our standard range of products include Fiberroad modular CWDM system C1, with 8+1 channel CWDM MUX/DMUX and C1-4, a 4 channel modular MUX/DMUX system. The Fiberroad C1 system offers 8 channels with 20-nm channel spacing from 1,470 to 1,610 nm, with an extention port that can be applied for a ninth channel in the 1,300-nm window. Alternatively the extention port can be combined with an additional MUX/DMUX enabling a 16 channel CWDM system.
